Kurzbiographie
I live in Melbourne, Victoria, in the land of Oz. According to my own Teenage mis-adventures, I am just an ordinary guy with a penis which likes to get me into trouble…a lot. I’ve seduced trees, copulated with watermelons, and had nice old ladies pick ants off my naked body. Yep, that’s me. Mark Alders. All round nice guy and with my brain firmly in my pants, exactly where it belongs!

So what about the here and now? Well, I am a mild, mannered post office worker by day. I have a mortgage to pay and a partner named Lee who I have been with for *cough* twenty one years *cough.* At night, my muse, the bitch, forces me into bondage and makes me sit at my computer and type out stories about men having sex with each other…all the time…over and over…in varying degrees of WTF, too!

I mean, I have stories out there about alien spiders needing humans to nourish their eggs, red-skinned aliens whose balls glow when they are sexually excited, beings who cock dock with their victims to drain them of their life force, and a young man who discovers puberty is just the start of his problems as he comes into ‘magolescence’ on his eighteenth birthday and his penis turns into a snake!

Ah, the life of a story teller. The fun never ends

I read this book for Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy Fanatic's July 2012 Dusty Bookshelf Challenge.

An entertaining, fun, fast read about an eighteen year old teenager by the name of Shane, who on his birthday discovers that his body now has a mind of its own. He is going through Magolescene, a magical puberty where the body prepares itself for life as a magician. Shane will need the support of his lovers Joel and Will, and a wacky White Magician to navigate the first trial of his life against a Dark Magician.

This short story had me laughing and enjoying a not very serious book. This is the kind of book to read if you’ve finished something like an angst ridden story or one that required you to think way too hard.

There are some grammatical errors such as missing words, double use of words in the same sentence, and incorrect tenses. Formatting in epub is good.

This was a fun book. I give it 3 stars

The author kindly gave away a copy of one of his books during his “I am Bestowing Books” free read, to anyone who hadn’t read his stories yet. I chose A Human for Christmas. Thanks Mark!

The book blurb pretty much tells you what the book is about so I won’t go over it too much here.

The idea for the book is amusing; having humans gifted to Teathans as cherished toys. Considering how large the Teathans are, I was thinking this was asking for trouble. But once we’re introduced to the young Teathans, we find out that they take their responsibility of caring and tending to their human pets very seriously. Teathans appear to be extremely gentle, and the young ones at least, a bit naïve.

This is where the human, Greg Scott, ‘a military grunt,’comes in. He’s aggressive, arrogant, in your face, but oh so very clever. He realizes that his Teathan, Anton, is desperately in love with his best friend, Donnal. Greg wants Jarrod, Donnal’s human, so he devises a plan so that all of them can live happily ever after. How he achieves this is the gist of the story. But not before poor Anton and Donnal are cast out to the forest floor for their behavior. That was the hardest part for me. Both Anton and Donnal were so sweet and trusting of Greg’s help, but then Jarrod threw a big monkey wrench into the works. It seems all Jarrod needed was a firm hand and a bit of a spanking to get over it, lol.

I loved the sweetness of Anton and Donnal’s love for each other, it was very palpable throughout the story. Greg was over the top, sort of like the ugly American, but necessary to move the plot a long and he was the perfect fit for Jarrod. In the end they all get their happily ever after.

I also loved the concept of a 'living house' made from their planet. Very cool idea.

This is a very cute story and a fast read. I enjoyed the Teathans the most, Greg the least. It appears that this story could be a set up for a continuation and I’m curious to see how that one comes out. I have to give this story three stars. I liked it, but it was a bit short.

After 3 books, I think I finally understand the dynamics of the relationships!!! :-) I was annoyed with what I couldn't wrap my head around and the utter horniness of Jacob, but this book made me see him in a different light and I saw him grow up a bit. I LOVED Aloysius. This book showed the promise of an awesome future for Jacob, Callum, Zane, and Aloysius.
