I am going to admit this. It was a tough read at times. And if you follow my reviews you know I mean this as the writer delivered an emotional punch to the sternum. Not that everyone has lived this - but Jessie's story is one that you can imagine living in. However, fate had other plans for Jessie and Danny's story.

Just because the ink has dried on the paper, doesn't mean the feelings quit. We get to see the journey to where it all went terribly wrong to present day - where both characters are now facing the things unsaid. But from pain comes healing. I had to put a pause in reading and let their journey wash over me. It also incorporates that small town meddlesome factor that I adore as a secondary character.

Everything about the story was a deep look at the issue of infertility and pressures of society on our gender worth. Dear followers, this isn't my typical hearts and flowers fuffy bunny read. But if you are in the mood for something more real and raw, I'd recommend you spend a few hours devouring the story.

As of this review - also on Kindle Unlimited so definitely borrow if not buy.

I really liked this tear jerker of a romance. I voluntarily chose to review this and I've given it a 4.7* rating. This story pulled me in very fast and the violence felt very real, maybe because of the world we live in today, it happens so frequently. What we rarely hear about is how the survivers deal with what they felt/saw from the experience. This author did a good job of exposing us to this reality.
