The American Medical Association Essential Guide to…
This was given to me, by my son's allergy/asthma doctor, when he was first diagnosed with asthma. I can't begin to tell you how helpful it was. After reading this, I felt that I could be a partner with the doctor in the prevention of my son's asthma attacks, and that I was no longer powerless before that dread word - asthma. It enabled me to know what type of asthma my son had, what the various treatments were and the pros and cons of each one. It helped me learn what various triggers were in our house and how to reduce or eliminate them. I love this book.… (mehr)
Rather surprising that no one else in LibraryThing has this handy reference to a very common and quite serious childhood illness.
