Franki Amato is working as a police officer in Austin TX and felt that she wasn't being treating fairly by her partner (a misogynist)and then she discovers her boyfriend in bed with another woman, so she quits her job and headed to New Orleans to join her best friend at her private detective agency.

The book is filled with small cases juggled with their big case - solving the murder of a boutique manager so that their client doesn't get charged with the murder. Along with their investigations, Franki is also trying to appease her Italian grandmother in Austin by dating "good Italian boys" none of which she is even remotely interested in. But she has found a man who she is drawn to and the resulting interactions are hilarious.

The characters a re over the top, the setting is great, the mystery was a little light.½

Another laugh riot! Perfect excuse to ignore the news media :)
The first victim dies checking out a pole dancing pole at the greasing of the poles and the investigation includes all family craziness and French Quarter craziness we've come to expect and anticipate in this hilarious series.
I love the way Madeline Mrozek brings the whole atmosphere as well as the characters' personalities into the work! Fantastic read!

This is NOT Commissario Brunetti's Venice!
All the friends and relatives from New Orleans are in Venitia, Italia for the wedding of Franki Amato's best friend/co-owner of the PI agency they run. What a mixed-up piece of work! There's a murder, a jewelry heist, the geriatric NOLA stripper having a book signing, Franki's mother and old school grandmother arriving early while Franki's own fiance arrives late, a fraudulent ghost of Tosca (among others) and a lot of side-splitting laughs. I LOVE this bunch of characters and the voices they are given by Madeline Mrozek who is absolutely perfect for this crowd!

All the family and friends madness is what has me laughing out loud! It's nice to have read most of the earlier books in series, but it isn't vital because so many hints and recollections keep the reader up to date. There really is a mystery plot, but also a family craziness and French Quarter craziness that kept me laughing and far away from the news media!
I love the way Madeline Mrozek brings the whole atmosphere as well as the characters' personalities into the work! Fantastic read!

I loved it! Like the others, it's a total laugh riot and while there's a series, it stands alone easily. There really is a mystery plot centered around a murder and it's a good one full of twists and red herrings, but all the family and friends madness is what has me laughing out loud!
I love the way Madeline Mrozek brings the whole atmosphere as well as the characters' emotions into the work!

If you love over-the-top, creepy, spooky fun mysteries with complex, fast-moving plots, then Campari Crimson, #4 in the Franki Amato mystery series, is for you. Although this is the fourth book of Franki’s adventures, it can easily be read standalone. But go back and read them from the start to get the full benefit of Franki and her crazy family and friends and author Traci Andrighetti’s great writing.

It’s Halloween in New Orleans, and there’s a killer who just might be a real vampire on the loose. There’s also a cooking class with garbage and dead bugs, Franki’s less than satisfactory love life which includes getting hit on by the police detective, her slacker brother, the nonna who is determined to get her married off, and a full cast of characters, each more outrageous than the last.

And underneath the laugh out loud fun and craziness is a solid plot and mystery with clues and details throughout that nicely tie together in the end, with non-stop action, real danger, and more than a bit of disgusting gore, and some genuinely terrifying situations.

I received a copy of the audiobook on Audible from the author in exchange for an honest review. Campari Crimson is a thoroughly enjoyable listen – a compelling story that will keep you engaged and fully satisfy you at the end.

Christmas, family-dynamics, theft, situational-humor, verbal-humor, friendship, suspense

Frankie's Old School Italian family is driving to NOLA despite the incoming bad weather, but her fiance's flight has been canceled, and her idiot brother changed the venue for the Christmas celebration to a real dive. And it goes downhill from there! But not the laughs! Great fun!

Excop turned NOLA private eye with the Italian grandmother from nightmares makes a fast trip to Roma to find two college student employees who have gone missing. Bad enough, but her senior citizen stripper landlady decided to go along to *help*. AND it seems that the police more than remember her own antics dancing in the Trevi fountain! Totally loony fun!

Start with NOLA near Halloween, add in an ex-cop PI with two unreliable men in her life, an obsessed old school Sicilian grandmother and her cronies, a lazy brother, a bunch of frat boys, a subculture of wannabe vampires, and some gruesome murders. If the plot doesn't get you, the characters will. There's no doubt that the snarky humor and situations will have you laughing yourself silly! You can always count on Ms Andrighetti for suspense in a hilarious read!
Best news is that I got the audio and even better is that it is narrated by the incomparable Madeline Mrozek!

This laugh riot of a mystery is the very thing to lighten your holiday stresses! Living in NOLA, Franki would rather spend Christmas with her main squeeze, but then her Italian grandmother goes missing so Frankie gets herself off to Houston. There she hunts for her Nona while everyone from the parish priest to the dry cleaner nag her about not having a husband, just like her Nona always does! I love this writer's work!

murder-investigation, stripper, Italian-customs, NOLA, PI, witches, voodoo, snarky

It's her thirtieth birthday, she thinks that she is cursed, and that feeling is borne out by being descended upon by her mother and Italian grandmother hassling her about her unmarried state. Then there is a murder at the strip club favored by sexagenarian landlady, and her boyfriend being sabotaged at his bank! The publisher's blurb gives hints and clues but can't begin to prepare you for all the situational and verbal humor. No spoilers here, but the investigation is so convoluted, and each suspect is so easily believable. The antics of family, friends, and the crazy landlady would be unbelievable anywhere but in NOLA.
Madeline Mrozek really brings each character alive and can snark with the best. I'm still totally amazed that she doesn't crack up narrating this author's books!

PI, murder, mystery, psychics, ghosts, NOLA

What's not to like? An ex cop working with her bestie as a PI in NOLA, a pesky meddling family, murders on an old plantation, and lots of situational and verbal humor. Toss in a nasty secretary digging her claws into Frankie's boyfriend, death threats, and a medium who's afraid of ghosts, and you have a really excellent read. Oh, don't forget the ex stripper landlady!
I got the audio edition, and Madeline Mrozek really knows how to interpret the characters to perfection.

PI, ex-cop, NOLA, stripper, stress buster, humor, no gratuitous erotica,

What's not to like? Franki really wanted to be a cop, but her mentor was a sleazebag and her lover seemed to prefer lady wrestlers, so she packed up and left Texas for NOLA and her best friend's PI agency. The smothering Italian family had her phone number, though. The verbal humor is great, but the situational humor is guaranteed to have you snorting your caffeine! The publisher's blurb gives hints, but can't really do justice to things like the eccentric ex-stripper who still dresses for pole dancing, or some of the antics the characters get up to. A fun escape read!
I had the ebook, but forgot about it until I got the audio. Glad I waited, because Madeline Mrozek gave an absolutely stellar performance! She really enhances any book that she narrates.

Franki Amato is back in her second book. Franki is a P.I. working in New Orleans for her friend Veronica Maggio. She is smart, jealous, & has a funny family. Unless you have one like hers.
Full of interesting characters.

Bradley Hartmann has been dating Franki. He is a bank executive. He is always working late especially on days they have dates planned. His new assistant is a beautiful sexy woman who is trying to steal him away.

physic has a message from a ghost for her, Franki is asked to solve a murder, There is a missing pink diamond, Land lady is a stripper. Her Sicilian grandma is trying to plan her engagement party( She is not engaged) behind her back. Her boss is behaving different. It all combines to be a fun light hearted murder mystery.

It is full of troubles for Franki. Lots of drama ,action and murder in this book. Also lots of laughter.

The setting for this book is New Orleans. also a lot is set in a old plantation with ghosts.

I was given Prosecco Pink to read so I could give a honest review of it and be part of it's blog tour.

I received a complimentary copy of this book as a part of a book tour for a fair and honest review. I rated it 4.5 out of 5 Stars.

Colorful characters, antebellum mansions and life in the Big Easy take center stage in Prosecco Pink, Traci Andrighetti’s newest addition to the Franki Amato Mystery series. Picking up shortly where the first book, Limoncello Yellow, left off, we find Franki knee deep in mud and fending off alligators while keeping an eye on Bradley Hartmann, new boyfriend and bank executive. When Franki’s boss, and best friend, Veronica Maggio puts her in charge of solving the murder of a cosmetics CEO, Franki finds herself on a haunted plantation fending off ghosts and trying to solve a crime involving pink lip gloss and employees dropping like flies.

Ms. Andrighetti does a good job continuing to develop characters in this series; while Franki is a little bit odd, she’s a fun character who always gets herself in outrageous situations and you can’t help but like her. She also has an obsession with eating and food, something I can relate to. I also enjoyed how Ms. Andrighetti continues to develop the secondary characters in this series; especially Nonna, Franki’s matchmaking grandma and Glenda, Frank’s sixty something landlady, who has some of the best dialogue in the entire book.

While Franki’s love life with Bradley should be stable and secure; we see Franki’s insecurity kicked into high gear because of his new sexy secretary. While she swears she trusts Brad, she admits she just can’t trust a secretary who’s too perfect to be true. While dealing with her emotional issues, Franki refuses to deal with a haunted mansion and hires Chandra, a medium, to deal with the ghost. Only this being Franki, she’s hired a medium who’s afraid of ghosts. Fortunately they do find a way to work together and I really enjoyed meeting Chandra.

Will Franki discover who killed the CEO and what the pink lip gloss and legend of the pink diamond have to do with her case? Will Franki’s Nonna and her romantic meddling send Bradley running for cover? You’ll have to read Prosecco Pink to find out. I enjoyed it and look forward to reading Franki’s next case.

Limoncello Yellow is an entertaining P.I. detective story. It is full of loveable characters, interesting settings, humor and dating woes.

The plot Franki's life is falling apart so she decides to move to New Orleans and become a P.I. with college roommate Veronica. They get a case to work on a murder to solve.

Franki's family is trying to find her a husband, especially her grandmother. Franki likes a banker she has just met. Her dating life is full of laughs and drama.

The setting is New Orleans from the fashion to Voodoo the story takes us.

The characters are fun and unique. From their landlady a ex-stripper who has plenty of stories to share.
To Franki's Italian family. To Veronica lawyer turned P.I.. A Nun, Goth, and Voodoo Priestess. Plus everyone else is special too.

I would definitely read another book in the series. A light hearted cozy mystery indeed.
This is a clean read too.

I was given this ebook to read for purpose of giving a honest review and being part of it's blog tour.
