Hilarity ensues when cat forgets to close the chicken coop! We loved looking at all of the adorable things the chickens did once they got a taste of freedom.

This story is designed for primary aged children. It uses a story to help teach math and counting. In the story, Peg and her cat are having a picnic, when they accidentally let loose 100 chickens! They must use problem-solving and counting to make sure all of the chickens are returned to their coop before they can finish their picnic.

This story is perfect for kids who are still learning to read! The wording is simple and easy to sound out. Additional, animal enthusiasts or kids who live on a farm will love the cat and chickens in the story.… (mehr)

This is an informational picture book. Aronson uses made up newspaper columns, letters and other situations to describe how DNA and genetics works. The book is divided into four different parts, so it would be easy for children to get through and find the information they're looking for. The book also has an index and glossary for additional help. The pictures are colorful, and they attract attention. I believe the book was put together in a creative and easy to follow way.

This book is a great example for students to learn about solving problems. The character is constantly looking to solve problems and fix what's going on through math. Explaining this to students in an academic setting is helpful in finding ways to solve problems.
