This is not a current text: mainly written in 1988, published in 1990, it nevertheless had new material added in 2010.

Asquith reminds us that effective theology addresses the needs of its constituency, be they American Indians, LBTGQ, or Hindu... Or, for heaven's sake, even Christian or Jewish, or any other religious group.

The book is a good resource for a beginning student with a dictionary of terms, a history and biography of key players in the development of CPE and the pastoral care movement.
