This book focuses more on why you might want to do spiritual journaling and why it would be good for you. It doesn't really get into how to journal, so beginners may want to look at other books for guidance. In many ways, this book feels like a condensed version of Writing Down Your Soul: How to Activate and Listen to the Extraordinary Voice Within, but Writing Down Your Soul is more generally spiritual, while this book assumes the reader is Christian. The author encourages readers to use journaling to release repressed emotions. But some experiences are traumatic. You might want professional help and not just a journal to see you through, and I was concerned that she didn't talk about that possibility. Basically, this is a brief introduction to spiritual journaling, but if you're serious about it, you'll probably want to read other books on the topic as well.… (mehr)
