Mayara Barros

This is a 32-page fantasy short story about a young woman (girl?) who must decide what to do with her dead grandmother's legacy.

Unfortunately, I was pretty underwhelmed by it. Most of the story is the protagonist searching for the thing her grandma left behind, and it might have been interesting in a longer book, but I didn't feel like I had any reason to be invested in the characters. I also found the ending... anticlimatic? Like, very much so.

All in all, it wasn't a badly written story, but on its own it just wasn't very engaging.… (mehr)
