It was a fun read. The structure, plot, and characters were good. The POV was well done. My only complaint is the placement and frequency of profanity at the beginning and the length of the romance scene. The only reason is I found them distracting from the rest of the writing and the book. But I was easily able to overcome those issues and read through to the end. The introduction of the continuing story line was done well too. It was a fast-paced novel and I anticipate the rest of the series will be a lot of fun and worth a read.… (mehr)

Wonderful stories that are profoundly moving and provide a wide variety of characters that share why they are there at the Reed’s tattoo parlor for unique designs to be inked on their skin to commemorate something or someone important in their life. The artists and the clients all played parts in this book and all of the stories left me feeling better for having read them.

This book is really different and I've not read anything quite like it before. Yes, I've read books about angels and demons, heaven and hell, but not like this. This combines the age-old battle of good against evil with a fiery heroine and one particularly hot (and completely out-of-bounds) male angel.
Our heroine Joey discovers that she is part angel and is looked after by the hot Ursus. Things are never simple from the beginning of this book until the very end, and along the way we meet more angels and demons, and everything in between.
A fast-paced romp through heaven, earth and hell, the only reason I didn't award this more stars is due to the consistently bad writing - words missed out and poor grammar and spelling. If that were better, I would have given the and a half to four stars. I'd be interested in reading the next book in the series.… (mehr)
