good for phonics decoding for struggling 4-5th grade readers. cd is useful and there is a clever bingo game students like to work on linking up familar sounds of words.

Our district is using this as a foundation for Word Study. I have given some PD on this to my teachers. If implemented properly this is a highly effective way to teach students about how words work. I supplement some of the instruction with Making Words from Pat Cunningham in interventions.

I've got the 3rd edition. Full of word sorts, activities, and tx materials.

This is an excellent book for identifying spelling challenges and levels. Although I don't follow all of the ideas given, this is a good basis for any spelling program.

An excellent phonemic awareness and phonological awareness resource for elementery educators! I use ideas from this book every day in my classroom.
