I read this three weeks ago and I can't remember it. Huh. I'm not sure if I finished it or not.
This was an entertaining, short erotic BDSM romance novel. The pacing is good, and the characters are human, flawed, and likeable. The sexual tension builds nicely from "just friends" to kicking-the-doors-in urgency.
The couple is interracial (the submissive woman is white; the dominant man is Asian-American). It was handled with a refreshing lack of exoticism - like no big deal, which is as it should be. I really appreciated this characteristic of the story.
The denouement moved a little quickly through a whirlwind of developing feelings as the characters admitted their love for each other. It felt a little rushed. Perhaps a sequel is in the works, because I could definitely imagine this couple embarking on further adventures together.

Short and somewhat fluffy with super likeable main characters, this was such a fun read! I loved the friends to lovers arc, their workplace, and most of all the sweetness. This feels like the perfect antidote to so many of the books I've read where the guy is rich/high powered/THE BOSS and the girl is broke/scrappy/innocent. I much prefer the more equal starting place for the power dynamics and BDSM elements of this story. Also: archives and libraries and IT stuff in my romance=yes plz.
She blogs as 'The Picky Submissive' searching for that nebulous Domo that meets her needs and finds lots of duds. Then after a conversation with her long time friend, using some kink terminology discovers he's also a Dom and they agree to a contract for a month. The contract says there's to be no sexual touching and even I can tell you that is just crazy talk. They are best friends, best lovers. It was good read but not my favorite.
