This is a cute little book, with fascinating descriptions of all sorts of little specialty shops in London. Most of the shops described have been around for decades, and in some cases centuries. Personally I'm not a big shopper, but with descriptions like these I think I could become one!

I have only two caveats concerning this book... first, the spine on my copy is so stiff that when I try to open it further to get a good look at the pictures (there is some beautiful photography to be had here) I fear that I might crack the binding in half! The second is even skimming over the pages for the briefest of moments will make one want to travel a.s.a.p. to London... short of those owning a private jet this might present a financial challenge to most readers.… (mehr)
