This is a brief reference that covers 30 typefaces the editors regard as "essential." Fifteen of the typefaces are san serif and 15 are serif. Included are fonts for most every printing need. The coverage of each font consists of a brief history of its development, a sample that includes te lower case and upper case alphabet and the numerals from 0-9, and illustrations of several applications of the font.
