Rezensionen

This textbook feels rather outdated and gets progressively dryer and denser, until by the end of the book one is reading sentences like "Schools have the faults of all large institutions: they throw a protective shell around organs that have outlived their usefulness and fail to develop new ones that are needed in getting about." The author also throws in too many metaphors.
On the plus side, there are numerous examples, and the exercises provided at the end of each chapter ask the key questions.
