I am always on the lookout for a quality cookbook that will appeal to the fussy tastes of my family members. Most cookbooks feature recipes for dishes that are too complicated to follow without culinary arts training, have ingredients that are are too niche for most people’s tastes, or-- worse yet-- have ingredients that we’re allergic to.

Simple Beef Recipes, as its title suggests, is a collection of straightforward, tasty recipes that features wholesome ingredients you can easily find either in your home pantry or on the shelves of your local supermarket. The recipes in this book are unpretentious, wholesome, and delicious, requiring little pre-planning in order to successfully prepare. For instance, Brooke’s Meatloaf, one of my favorite dishes featured in the book, requires only hamburger, salt, pepper, an egg, garlic powder, an onion, a bell pepper, and a can of tomato soup-- all items I currently have in my pantry and cupboard.

What also makes this book both unique and a treasured addition to my cookbook collection is that the straightforwardness of the recipes are accessible to cooks of all abilities and age levels. Young people who are living on their own for the first time or children who are learning to cook with their parents can easily follow these recipes and create delicious dishes they can be proud of.… (mehr)
