What really intrigued me about this book, in the beginning, was the cover. The blurb and synopsis convinced me to read it, but with such an interesting cover, how can you not be curious? It's not every day you see a guy with white hair and a peacock design on his side...

I have to say, I'm glad I read this book- it's the start of what I'm sure will be a very interesting series. Laying the groundwork for a creative adventure, and introducing unique characters, this book effectively hooked me from the start. The plot reminds me of a mix of Percy Jackson and Twilight (without the drama, and luckily for us, no sparkling...). With Ancient Grecian style god and goddesses, shifters and vampires who don't enjoy killing humans, the author beautifully blends several popular themes together for an exciting new story. Well balanced with action, humor, and some light romance, this book promises an exciting series.

The characters are quite interesting, being unique from other stories, while still being sentimentally familiar. The side characters don't take up too much of the book, but help move the story along. The main characters we focus on are Aimee and Luca (don't you just love that name??) who are both amazing. Move over Jacob, Luca is the new shifter on the block, and so he should be! Perfect in his mix of strength and kindness, Luca is certainly my idea of the quintessential male-shifter lead character. Aimee is, in my opinion, the perfect vampire heroine, and a wonderfully strong female lead character. Tough and kind, she knows hardship without being openly bitter. These two are perfect together, and while their love happened quick, it's wonderful.

Overall, this book is one I really enjoyed. I did take away a rose because there were some characters and groups who were just thrown in, and it didn't make much sense for them to be there. They were made to seem important in the beginning, but then just disappeared, which made the read somewhat confusing until it was obvious they just dropped out of the story, and I stopped looking for them.

Other than that, it's a good book. I really enjoyed the writing style- I love a story where the point-of-view alternates between the two main characters. It was laid out very well, flowed pretty easily, and added depth to the quick read. This is a book I would recommend, and a series I hope to continue reading.

he book starts off quickly, and pulls you in just like Neverlove did. You see that Abigail and Basil are still chasing their happily ever after, and that the Devourer is still causing havoc on earth with his plots and plans.
And since the form of Father Quin has taken over the dubious honor of being the lord of Hell, part of those plots includes getting Abby back! Q has even enlisted Basil's mother into the plan, and has a new girlfriend for Basil.

Abby meets another "former" Harvester, who saves her from getting run over. He's also there when her and Basil hit a rough patch after her seeing pictures that aren't quite what they seem. These pictures are on the camera that belongs to the other Harvester, who accidently gave her his by mistake when he "saved" her.

Over all, I highly recommend this novel. You still have the same characters you fell (or will fall) in love with from Neverlove. They All Fall Down has plenty of action, lots of suspense, and an ending that just might catch you by surprise! This book is a complete package, with a 4 star rating.

My Thoughts:

A dystopian world with vampires and treachery…what wouldn’t I love about this book?!

I loved that the start jumped straight into the story, with us finding out that the parents of our main character were called away, in the same way she just has been, but they never came back. She isn’t willing to go, and soon she’ll find out more about both herself and the broken promises of the vampires, but is she ready?

The dystopian wasteland the author created was excellent. She really brought to life – or death – the world around them, so that I felt as though I was standing in the wasted shell of the states. I could see and completely understand why there had to be a pact made with the vampires. It truly was the only hope for survival, in a world that is completely dead, or so they thought.

The characters were brilliant, as they were filled with depth, character and passion. Our main character was excellent. She was smart, intuitive, strong and able to see through the veil. Angela wrote her with layers of both emotion and intellect, as she seemed to always be in the right head and every time we turned around she had seen through lies, worked her way through something or found the truth. I like that it also involved her finding herself, and getting to know who she really is.

From the beginning, I found this book to be engaging and completely consuming. I struggled to put it down and often found myself staying up way to late to read just one more chapter. I highly recommend reading this book if you are a fan of fantasy, paranormal or dystopian reads, as I can imagine you’ll like it just as much as I did!
