There is nothing special about this novella. It's BDSM with a dull plot that drags a proper, older widow to the Chateau Debauchery trying to ensure her son's happiness. Arthur clearly has no intention of granting Phillipa's request, but he sees a chance to seduce her and takes it. Phillipa's kindness is the only thing that raises this novella from a 1 star.

Bridget meets Darren when she is begged by her friend, Amy, to accompany her to a club. Bridget is careful with her small amount of money so is woefully unprepared for the glittering lifestyle she is thrust into. The attention Darren pays her surprises them both for different reasons. The first of three stories, the relationship gets hotter in this interesting and intriguing story. And, yes, I have bought book two!

After reading the first book, I had to get this one; now I have to buy the third. Top and tailed with the present, most of the story, as in book 1, leads the reader into a deeper understanding of how Darren and Bridget's relationship developed in the past, and how she became accustomed to BDSM. Still compelling, still really hot, I can't wait to see how this ends.

Hot, hot, hot!

This was so hard to put down. It is almost encyclopedic about BDSM, as Darren catches up with Bridget. We learn what happened to Amy and why Bridget fled. Once again, much of the story is set in the past. Aside from some spelling mistakes, this is a tightly written and engrossing tale, and it is agony wondering whether there will be an HEA. I am glad I bought it.
