I've developed a pretty entrenched cynicism for this type of "fix your life" book. The reason for 3 stars is that this was better than most. I highlighted many more "good reminders" than I normally might. And the first ½ of the linked PDF worksheets to help you figure out what is important to you are useful and helpful. The second ½ is confusing at best and a waste at worst. After asking pointed questions to help you determine the the type of person you want to be, the author asks questions that are far to simple and specific for something as complex as figuring out life.

My honest opinion is that a better process for codifying what is important to you (and therefore what you should be spending your time on) is a class taught within Sarah MacKenzie's Read-Aloud Revival membership. Sarah wrote a book about Homeschooling entitled "Teaching From Rest: A Homeschooler's Guide to Unshakeable Peace." The only thing is the principles can be applied to all aspects of life. The synopsis is: you can't do it all, you aren't completely responsible for the outcome (only doing your utmost); you must be your authentic self (do what is important and vital to you). It helps simplify the overwhelming choices homeschooling moms face. But the reality is all of us face the same choices every day with regard to how to spend our time and efforts. Sarah's master class (Called Focus & Align) helps you determine your BIG SIX (but it could be 5 or 7), which you will use to fall back on when deciding what to do and how to spend your time. I think it was a better, more personal approach to this same type of time management.… (mehr)
