A sequel that cannot be read as a Stand-alone, so make sure you read the sci-fi dystopia Augland first. This book is not quite the same pace as its predecessor, but spends more time on political alliances and maneuvers, still quite interesting, just not as action-packed. I enjoyed some new characters and am still intrigued enough to want to know what happens next.

A solid start to a mesmerizing New Adult dystopia set in a near future Pacific NW US that includes elements of Westworld sprinkled with a bit of Divergent and its own originality. The plot is captivating, fast-paced, and action-packed. The characters are fascinating, and the world-building is borderline powerful, each section a character unto itself. Definitely will be looking out for the next book. Well done, especially for a debut.
