An excellent anthology of English poetry, with notes and glossary of poetical terms, and brief biographical information. Includes a few medieval, elizabethan, 17th and 18th century poems, most are 19th and 20th century. Most are British, but there are a few translated from other languages, and some modern American and Canadian poets. A very good survey for high school students, and still one of my favourite collections. Edited by Roberta A. Charlesworth and Dennis Lee.
