If you're looking for a good slow-burn romance, you should grab a copy of Locked Out right away. Small town librarian and a marine hook up for a one-nighter, and she gets pregnant. He's overseas, but she knows his sister, and they teleconference so she can give him the news though she's determined to be independent. He's the responsible sort and is due for leave, so he heads home to figure the situation out.
Holly is pretty cool, very independent but determined to be a good mother despite the less than stellar upbringing she had. Dean is a bit older with a career in the Marines and never expected to settle down, but he has a loving family of his own and pretty quickly decides he wants to be involved with his child. The story goes through the pregnancy with its ups and downs as Holly and Dean learn about each other. I really liked the epilogue, something that doesn't get added in a lot of contemporary romance stories.… (mehr)

I loved this book.
I found it so funny.
Holly and Dean.
Holly finds out she's pregnant, Dean is overseas, he's in the military, he doesn't take the news too well.
To be fair to him it was ONS, his mind is on his mission, his team etc so it comes as a bit of a shock. He's also been in the military a long time so thinking of a life with a family is a big adjustment.
Holly has quite a tragic past which makes her a bit of a loner.
When Dean gets his head together he is amazing.
The pregnancy moods, the pranks were so hilarious.
It's a slow burn, they are involved in each other's lives closely but the feelings and future come towards the end of the book.
No cheating.
No intimate scenes with anyone other than the Hero and heroine.
The only draw back was the last few chapters seemed to drag a bit.
