Sarah, Lady Audley was born during the First World War. She made her career the stage. Her first appearance was at the age of 22 at London's Adelphi Theatre. During the war years, she served in the WAAF, resuming her acting career in 1946. In later years she has been living in semi0retirement. She has been married 3 times; to the entertainer Vic Oliver, to the portrait photographer Antony Beauchamp, and to the late Lord Audley. [from book jacket for "The Empty Spaces"]
