Carrie Colpitts

Carrie put out a call for submissions of writing about adolescence, growing up and transitioning to share with her middle and high school students. Contains prose, poetry, a cartoon, a collage, glossary of gender-related terms, page of pronoun examples, resource list including books, zines and websites, and "Trans Respect/Etiquette/Support 101" from Tim Tum zine.

Carrie critiques a Victoria's Secret catalog that she got in the mail and finds that the models all look the same, look sleepydrugged, are light-skinned, and are dressed unrealistically for going to work (no shirt under a suit, with 5" heels on snowboots). She lists body positive magazines and zines in the back of the zine.

Carrie lists her crushes, from her first to the present. With some photos. Format is a sort of accordion fold, with a string and brass fastener closure. Color cover.

Split zine - both sides authored by Carrie. Likes and dislikes in a quarter size black and white cut and paste zine with zig zag stitch binding.
