- David Conway is a children's picture book author who has written for Hodder, Random House, Frances Lincoln and Gullane Children's Books. He has been awarded The Peter Pan Silver Star by the Swedish wing of the IBBY and the Parents' Choice Gold Award in the US for Lila and the Secret of Rain. His first picture book The Most Important Gift of All illustrated by Karin Littlewood, was nominated for The Kate Greenaway Medal in 2006.

The Great Fairy Tale Disaster von David Conway
This story was about the Big Bad Wolf from the Three Little Pigs fairy tale trying to find a new story to be a part of. Young readers who pick up this book would have fun seeing what the Wolf gets up to, and the trouble he causes in the tales that he jumps into. It is a great book for young readers who love the original fairy tales.
For months, the sun has baked Lila’s Kenyan village. It’s too hot to gather firewood, too hot to weed the garden, even too hot to milk the cow. Without rain, the crops will fail. Lila is so worried that when her grandfather whispers to her the secret of making the rain fall, she decides to do something about it — even if it means confronting the sky itself.
Safari animals make for the most interesting animal picture books because there's so much variety in all the different species. Each animal in this story was so intricate and stylized. The pay off at the end of the story was really funny and sweet. This is the perfect night time picture book.
The Big Bad Wolf is fed up with huffing and puffing, so off he goes in search of a new fairy tale. As the wolf runs from page to page the book of fairy tales becomes a great mixed-up mess. This silly fairy tale is sure keep you laughing from beginning to end!
