'Colorful Stash Buster Quilts' by Mary Stewart Cohen is a nice change in scrap quilt pattern books. These quilts have a more controlled-color scrappy feel. I had been looking for another book on scrap quilts to help control the scraps that continue to multiply at my house. 'Colorful Stash Buster Quilts' contains 7 quilt patterns, 2 table-topper patterns, and a pattern for a bag. These quilts run from easy beginner to intermediate levels of difficulty, and each pattern has at least 2 colorways shown in the pictures. From string quilts, to scraps along similar colors, Colorful Stash Buster Quilts has easy to follow instructions with color pictures along the way. A couple of the quilts offer more than one applique design so that you can personalize your quilts. At the end of the book, Cohen gives instructions on how to finish your quilts. The blocks used in these quilts are not used very often and for that reason, I am looking forward to making quilts from this book.
