Did not finish. Gave it a good try, but a quarter of the way through I still hadn't yet understood who or what the narrator was, not even if they were actually a person. Nothing yet had happened either, and when we started cutting to other scenes without resolving the first I'd had enough.

Some weird hybrid technology marketing society where everybody is enthralled by their car and or mods, and it's not quite sure whether this is a good thing or not. (probably not). The narrator was distinctly fascinated by the cars and other users/consumers of cars. But that was about as much as I got. The deeply introverted self-absorbed prose was hard to read or follow.

Pixel Juice by Jeff Noon is much better if you like this sort of thing.… (mehr)
