El encargo parecía fácil: entrar y robar unas llaves. Michael lo aceptó: necesitaba pagar el tratamiento de su esposa enferma. Ignoraba que iba a trabajar para su peor enemigo, el más espantoso rostro del mal...

I did not realize that this is book two of the Nick Quinn thrillers. Yet, I had no issues jumping right into this book. Mr. Doetsch sures knows how to up the ante with the reading experience. I mean while reading this book, it was like a major motion picture movie playing into my head! I could not stop reading. Literally read this book in one day, it was that good. The 13th Hour: Chaos took me on a roller coaster filled with tons of action, intrigue, twists and turns with engaging characters.

What made this reading experience even better was that the whole format of the story is meant to be read backwards. So, you start out at the end and work your way to the beginning. So perfect for who readers who like to read the ending first. While, I knew the endgame, it did not less my excitement as I was kept on my toes to how the story would play out. I will be reading more books by Mr. Doetsch.

After reading - and loving - 13th hour, I added this book (and the two that follow), to my list -- and I'm glad I did.

Doetsch does an excellent job of developing characters, describing scenes, and moving the story along. I didn't expect this one to have such strong religious overtones (duh, what did I expect from a book with Heaven in the title?!)... but in fact, the religious elements played an important role in the story, without overwhelming you.

Glad I found this author, he will certainly stay on my 'to-read' list.
