Tardy Bells and Witches' Spells: A Cozy Witch… von Sarina Dorie
Tardy Bells & Witches Spells, my first read from author Sarina Dorie and the first book in Womby’s School for Wayward Witches. Although I own a number of her books I’d never gotten around to reading one. This is it. Well-written with an unexpected twist in the ending. I look forward to my next read from this author! (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018)
I liked this book and now I AM HOOKED ON VEGA BLOODMIRE!! I liked that when Vega saw students and her roommate shake when they had to go to Mr. Milton's classroom and now he is dead and SHE is the main suspects.
Space travel meets the Victorian era in this interesting story. Unfortunately, it was also a bit disjointed and confusing at times. Although the writing itself has no serious errors to detract from the story, it wasn't always easy to follow or immerse myself in the plot. I really think this would have benefitted from going for a more fantasy setting, instead of including things that tie the story to the real world. Overall, it's intriguing, but I'm not sure where I fall on how much I like it. Three stars for solid writing and a fun premise.… (mehr)
