This a very special little book. I'd favorably compare it to Lyn Hejinian's book 'My Life', which i also love for its compositional inventiveness and acute observations. It belongs to a rare breed of literature.

2. I'm only an essay (and I use the word 'essay' very, very loosely) and a half in, but this seems to be played from the same ballpark as Seabald or Markson, or even Ishiguro, kinda. Not quite as circular or recursive, but there's a similar slow, heavy-liddedness in the prose.
