This is a nice short read about a lover helping his partner relax so that he can write his artivle in time to make the deadline. Very sensual and with a bit of humor and teasing between the characters.

This is a nice continuation of Jeremy and Brian's story. It won't be for everyone, because it deals with the taboo subject of love between twin brothers. The focus here is on the way they not only come to terms with what they feel for each other, but how they deal with the outside world and its reactions to their relationship. The double-whammy of learning to live with each other and the knowledge that society disapproves, makes for some tough decisions. I liked the way the author shos us the consequences of both.… (mehr)

Team Mates is a fun, new interpretation of the ‘Goth kid falls for Jock’ in high school plotline. M. Durango presents it in a way that makes the story feel fresh and different. Cory, the ex-Goth, is out and proud in college, and Jeff is still in the closet when a casual run-in over Cory’s broken car offers the men a new opportunity to get to know each other.

Cory, while shocked that Jeff may actually be interested in him, is by no means shy or repressed. He has managed to come out of the ordeal of being out in high school really well; it has made him stronger. I suspect he is a good role model to many GLBT kids who are thinking of coming out. Jeff, on the other hand, is less lucky at first glance. He comes out later and gets kicked out by his parents. Luckily, he has the strength of character to deal with it, and stands up for himself and his new relationship quickly and well.

If you like realistic stories about one of the many possible scenarios of what it’s like to come out and if reading about a caring relationship is your thing, you will probably like this story. I think it is warm, with some heartfelt moments of real love, and a great showcase for how things can get better, if you learn to stand up for yourself.
