Love is Always Write: Volume Four von Megan Derr
As one of the group who worked on editing and proofing these stories and helped put the anthologies together I might be considered biased, but these anthologies are definitely worthy of the 5 star rating.
THAT was just awesome! It was exciting and funny and sweet and... well damn, anyone who can use "alacrity" correctly gets 5 Stars from me! :)
This book lacked. I really want to leave the review there, but that would be unfair. I have cats. I love my cats, and I find them truly hilarious at times. The third-party telling of how cat's think read too much like a technical manual and too little as true humor. That said, I did find myself giggling once or twice at a couple of truly unique feline perspectives of the animal we call human.
Had to set this aside. The layout is really bothering me. :/ Perhaps I'll come back to it later.
11/08/2014 So I finished this finally. The layout, as I mentioned before, bothered me to the point where I would stop reading for days at a time. There was also the matter of slashes to indicate when Brydon and Toryn are speaking telepathically. That bothered me a lot. I feel like italics would've done the trick; I'd have known the two were corresponding.
If the author decides to update this version, I will get it in the hopes that there are spaces between paragraphs at least. All of these things combined made me skip pages and tune out of the story. I wasn't as invested in this as I was with The Gauntlet Thrown, which is a shame.… (mehr)
