My daughter particularly appreciated that this book came with conversation cards - questions you can ask each other at dinnertime. I thought the dishes were somewhat uninspired and didn't do a great job at covering an actual day of turn-of-the-century cooking. The Molly cookbook seems more well-rounded. But it's still a fun American Girl tie-in thing that will teach your daughter a little about both history and cooking.
