My reason for selecting this dictionary was that I already had its companion volume, Elias's Modern Arabic-English Dictionary. It's a bit dated, however.½

My reason for selecting this dictionary was that it was the only one I could find at the time that had the Arabic alphabetized by triliteral root in the standard Arabic way. It is a bit dated, however.
