I have been waiting to read Delia's story since book one when Beckett called Delia "Medusa". She did not disappoint me. Poor Enzo as all he was trying to do was fix up the brownstone for Delia and the other moms. Yet, I did not feel that bad for Enzo as he did prove he could hold his own.

In fact, you could call Delia impressed as Enzo did not go running away from her. I just want to take a moment through to talk about Enzo's name. This is the third book there the main male character is named Enzo that I have read. How come all the men named Enzo are sexy as hell. Enzo has fast become a favorite name of mine now.

The other moms were active in this book, but I felt like the other men had some bigger presences and I was all for it. The guy chat had me laughing. This book is a fitting ending to this series.

Brother's Best Friend romance.
Remy is the youngest of the family and training for a national lumberjack competition. He agrees to marry his best friend's sister so she will have health insurance for an operation she needs. They agree to be married platonically for one year. Secretly, Hazel has had a crush on Remy since middle school. While Remy has pretty much always looked at her like a little sister because of a longtime girlfriend he had who ended up cheating on him, he is not immune to little Hazel's grown-up charms. Hazel is very smart and working toward her PhD. Would falling in love for real hold her back from achieving her goals? Can Remy make his family see that he is more than just the youngest who never took the family business seriously before?

This was cute and better than I expected. I love the whole "I've been crushing on him since middle school" trope and the brainy girl gets the hot guy. It worked for me. There is also some action and a little suspense. I did not read the first book in the series, but I think I'll double back before starting the third book.

Spice rating: 3/5
Main Characters: Luke Kim, Nora Rossi
Review: The book is my first in the Havenport series, but I’m pretty sure I’m going to read the rest soon, too. The book is amazing. I mean, Luke and Nora’s chemistry had me out of breath by the fourth chapter! Plus, ANGRY LOVE CONFESSION? Yes, please! As much as I adore the pair, I love them separately too. Luke is a hardworking individual who made his way in the world, and Nora is a strong independent woman. There’s no way in hell you can bring them down. But their past, their personalities, and their insecurities are what make them the most relatable. The reconciliation part had me dropping a star because it turned to seduction real quick. I’m not complaining about the extra smut, but it would’ve been great to see them sit and communicate a little more before they rechristened the bed. But the way the book progresses, it’s beautiful. When they had the big fight, it reminded me of another book, and maybe, I thought it would’ve been better if they stayed apart. What Luke did wasn’t verbal abuse, but very close to the territory. Maybe, just maybe, they could’ve had THE conversation and that would make this one of my best reads. But it is what it is. Overall, the book is a nice read, and as I said, I see myself reading more books in the Havenport series super soon!… (mehr)

This book really struck a personal cord with me in the fact that Sam was dealing with breast cancer. While the cancer is non-terminal, it was personal in the way that my mom was recently diagnosed with breast cancer several months ago. I went with her to her chemo treatments, and we are still as a family working through day-to-day life. My mom had her surgery and is "cancer free" at this time. The range of emotions that Sam was expressing in this story were very relatable.

I am glad Sam had someone like Gio in her life. The friends to lovers really played out nicely in this book. It was a good transition that heated up to something steamy filled with genuine love. Gio experienced emotions to that were real. Yet, he was able to still be a strong rock for Sam. I loved these two together. Grab your tissues as you might shed some tears but happy ones as Embracing You is a must read!… (mehr)
