Quick, suspenseful read!

A great novella with lots of detail. I read this in about an hour and literally couldn't stop. It was excitement from the 3rd page or so until the end. And a nice little twist at the end. Mr. Estrada definitely captured my attention...thank you!

This is listed as horror, but even though it bordered on the paranormal with some really "out there" characters, I would have to say this is more suspense/thriller territory. Those that don't want to be scared to death, will more than likely be intrigued by the "what's going to happen next"... that can't possibly happen, I hope", aspect. It's filled with suspense that will keep you guessing right up to the very end, and what an end... total shock. I didn't expect it and certainly never even thought of it. It out starts a little slow but then really takes off.… (mehr)

Seven Sins by Miguel Estrada

"Several individuals connected through a series of unfortunate events find themselves as participants in a twisted game of trials set up by a hacker who has chosen them based on their cardinal sins."

An original story with a compelling plot. Moves at a fast pace with plenty of, twist, turns, chills and thrills. Incorporating the "Seven Sins" was (In my opinion) brilliant. I have not read anything quite like this. Overall I found Seven Sins enjoyable and recommend to those who like horror stories.… (mehr)

I have to say I really enjoyed the story. The cover drew me in. As you get further into the book you understand how the cover goes with the story. You have people and children disappearing. The FBI gets involved. Then we have a family that has moved to Heaven's Peak. Kevin and his sister Jenny along with their father have moved to Heaven's Peak because this is where their parents met. Now that their mother is dead their dad has moved them back. Kevin and his new camera capture something to validate that things are not heavenly in Heaven's Peak. This is a horror story of the type I have not read in years. In some ways it reminded me of Stephen King's writing. However, the book definitely needed to be proofread. There were a lot of mistakes. I also hated the use of the "f-bomb". If it was a clean read and was edited for grammar mistakes it would be a book I could put on my middle grade shelves for my horror https://www.librarything.com/work/edit/158009149?referpage=addbooks.php#lovers. However, since I have all grades check out my book I sadly won't add it to my classroom library. I would read more by this author. Hopefully he will take what others are saying and re-edit this book. That is the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating.… (mehr)
