A good book and one that kept me in suspense. I liked the Louisiana setting and the characters. Even though it is not the first of the series it didn't affect my reading.

Although this wasn't my normal type of book, I was immediately intrigued by the title and description. I was immediately drawn into the story, and couldn't put it down. I highly recommend this book, along with a nice cup of cocoa. It's been rainy here, and I've been curled up lost in the beautiful world of Louisiana.

Sometimes I wish Member Giveaways would be more clear when a book is part of a series. This reads fine as a standalone but there were times when I definitely felt like I was missing some backstory.
I enjoyed the read. It's a good story though the drama level was a bit high.

Wish I had read the first book in the series before reading this one. Nice book to read around Christmas time.
