professor - Kurzbiographie
- Kim Fielding lives in California and travels as often as she can manage. A professor by day, at night she rushes into a phone booth to change into her author costume (which involves comfy clothes instead of Spandex and is, sadly, lacking a cape). Her superpowers include the ability to write nearly anywhere, often while simultaneously doling out homework assistance to her children. Her favorite word to describe herself is "eclectic" and she finally got that fourth tattoo.
Kim donates all royalties from her self-published works to Doctors Without Borders.

Though not as enthusiastic as the majority of my friends, I still thoroughly enjoyed this sedate read about a man finding a place to call home when he thought it was never his right to even hope for one.
Jimmy, like most drifters, has had it rough. He’s survived the only way he knew how - to adapt and take the good when it came and to never depend on anyone or anything but himself. He lives a very simplistic life with no expectations, and in return, has no obligations either.
As per the blurb, Jimmy happens to have a note burning in his pocket, and since he has nothing better to do, decides to personally deliver it to carry out a dead man’s wish to try to set some things right. What he finds in small town Rattlesnake is a lot to desire and yearn for, which can be a dangerous, fearsome thing.
That scary thing is Shane. Scary in the fact that Shane makes him want, makes him feel, and certainly, makes him hope. Shane’s interest is piqued, and somehow Jimmy finds himself wrapped up in the man, as Shane finds him a place to stay, a job, and perhaps a little comfort that only a warm body can give, as they ease their mutual hurts, both mental and physical. As much as Jimmy denies he wants what Shane is offering, he can’t help but find reasons or circumstance to stay just one more day.
Again, a really lovely romance where not a lot happens. There was just a tad bit of frustration on Jimmy’s part regarding his reluctance to settle, though completely understandable why he resisted since his whole life had been nothing but rejection. Shane, in turn, was truly wonderful with his strength and perseverance despite his own tragic past. This was a sweet, sexy hurt comfort story that made me smile in contentment as Jimmy and Shane deservedly find happiness with each other.
