Fisher explains his concept of investing, without going into any specific details of companies or tactics. He is outlining a long-term strategy, and does a good job of clarifying concepts and explaining (most) of his recommendations.

There is lots of bite sized pieces of content that can be read and reread in any order. Good food for thought and an excellent contrast to the constant market chatter from the media.

Analyzes how people get wealthy. Weaves in lots of name dropping and very brief snippets to support the "road".

Interesting details:
Songwriters are paid 9.1 cents per unit sold, plus radio and other public performance play. Article referenced in the end notes: Making Money with Your Music - Taxi.com http://www.taxi.com/music-business-faq/makemoney/index.html

Book reference: How to Lie with Statistics - Darrell Huff

The 10th road is the one for everyone - save and invest!

This book is the most thoughtful and stimulating book I've read on the subject of investing. Startling truths are in here! It is also the most poorly edited I've read in a long time. It reads as if Fisher chatted into a dictaphone and someone just transcribed it. Way too chatty, and that made the read a challenge to pick out the nut from the shell.

Highly recommended if you actively manage your investments and even if you don't. You'll learn about the psychological factors in investing, about a lot of myths and why you should never trust a broker or asset manager.

I'm not so much interested in investment banking as fraud, but this book was interesting anyway. It's really obvious that Fisher is a magazine columnist first, author second, because the book was subdivided into small sections and repeated itself regularly the way listicle writers seem to. Most of these lessons were ones anyone could learn watching an episode of Leverage (♥), though, so I'd recommend two or three other books on fraud/theft/counterfeiting before this one.½

By far the smartest investment book ever written. Fisher has been listed on the Forbes' Richest Persons list and the son of the late, great Philip Fisher... No slouch in the market himself. Fisher shows why he is one of the greatest money managers of all time. Insightful about what he teaches and how he thinks about the world markets and the relationships between them all. Five Stars!
