A gift for Christmas in my Yuletide communities "BookSwap," I absolutely fabulously loved this book. I love the pictures. I love the fiction choices. I love the details they added about both the food of the time period or the reason for the book, as well as things about the author in the back.

An interesting dip into some of the foods served up within the classics of fiction worldwide, e.g. Proust's Swann's Way within In search of lost time - the tea and madeleines look very attractive. Format is a colour illustration of a dish, e.g. Heidi's fondue and a facing page about book and author. Great fun.
