I loved every moment of reading this, and I don’t know where to start. It’s got Alice in Wonderland vibes, but also a little Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella. That opening scene is just - well, if it doesn’t hook you, nothing will. The descriptions throughout the book are so vivid without feeling heavy or clunky. The dark queen is such an amazing, dark villain, she’ll send chills down your spine. Alora is an amazing FMC, she’s been a dutiful daughter, but has a bit of an adventurous side to her. Her prince charming...your heart might do some flutters when you meet him! I could ramble on for hours about this book, but I’m worried I’ll end up giving spoilers. I was reluctant to set this down even for a few moments once I started, and I kind of miss the magical world. Oh, and can anyone tell me how to get to Wonderland for...reasons. I cannot recommend this enough if you’re a fairy tale retelling lover like me!… (mehr)

Love Ever Lasting is the third in a three book series. I reviewed the first book, Love at Last, and enjoyed the simple pleasure of a delightful romance novel. Something I don’t read all that often.

This third volume was just as diverting and easy on the reading eyes as it were. Sometimes you just want to escape into a world far, far away from the one you currently inhabit and live life in another time. Of course one never stops to consider the realities in the midst of the romance but this is why we read to escape, isn’t it?

This book is an escape for sure and just what I needed as my kitchen was being finished. Since I was in chaos it was heaven to slip into a more ordered place where everyone knew where they belonged and what was expected. But romance and love never run smoothly in books, do they?

But never fear, our lovers are destined for each other! This sweet story details a clean romance that had just enough angst to make the final payoff worthwhile. I am only sorry that it’s the end of the series.… (mehr)

All of us Regency fiction fans have just been given a gift! Authors Michelle Helen Fritz and E.A. Shanniak have written a story that hints at the promise of happily-ever-after for Mariah Morton and Harrison Pembroke. Mariah dreams of a life with her childhood friend but she knows that a Parson's daughter is not of the same class as an Earl. How can she ever hope to win a nobleman's heart, especially one that is still tender and bruised from a previous failed relationship? It soon becomes apparent that unassuming Mariah and hesitant Harrison are perfect for each other but there are so many hurdles to overcome. Is it possible that this unlikely pair can ever create a life together?

Love at Last is truly a delightful story. Romance lovers will enjoy the sweet, but powerful chemistry between Mariah and Harrison, and the elegant parties and events at the beautiful Bramley Hall are exactly what we associate with the Regency era. There's also the ever-present reminder that keeping to one's social class was of the greatest importance. Exactly what we've come to expect in Regency fiction!

Likeable characters, thrilling romance, and a beautiful setting make this a great way to spend an afternoon. I recommend Love at Last to all who enjoy Regency romance, and I look forward to more Bramley Hall Regency Romance novels.
