Well, Crap! First: This is a lovely read. The writing pulled me in and swept me right through each story. The problem is that the questions developed with each story and by the end of #2 I realized I had more questions than answers.
My questions are sort of answered, (I don't do spoilers so no details) BUT - but the entire series of novellas (short stories - novelettes? - they are almost too short to qualify as novellas) seems to serve as a single prequel to a new - possible - series?
The flow of Frost's writing was good enough that the lack of depth in the character development and detail for the world-building did not impact me strongly until I reached the 'end.'… (mehr)

I loved this short freebie and will definitely read the other books in this series. The cover is outstanding. Main characters were well developed despite the short book length.
