Five Little Cygnets Cross the Bundoran Road is a picture book about the story of 5 baby swans and their parents crossing the road. The pictures are all photographs taken by the author and her family. One photo in particular has a person in it lifting a wire which is pure unintended humor. There is captivating text to accompany the photographs as well. Although not widely circulated based upon online reviews, I think this book would be an excellent addition to any classroom library collection from preschool through first grade. I think this could be read to younger children as well, and see the usefulness of it for children ages 1 - 10. The large span in age groups is probably due to the fact that actual pictures are used of a real animal family, which makes even older children interested in the story.… (mehr)
