I thought this was excellent, exactly as advertised. It is very Norse themed, and features trolls, giants, magical and treacherous dwarves and many familiar Norse themes, but stood on its own quite well. This is the first book of the Torin Ten Trees Saga. Torin is a young man, sent with 2 companions to join the Gatewatch, the warriors that defend the lands from the Giants and Trolls. The company soon expands to 7 and they have quite the adventure. Good action and good characters.
