I acquired this English-language book at the gift shop of the Kremlin armory in Moscow, and despite the hefty price tag this book was well worth the price (and carrying it back in already-heavy luggage!). High-resolution photographs of various Faberge masterpieces, in particular the famous Imperial Easter eggs, are displayed along with volumes of information about the entire world that first brought popularity to the workshops of Faberge. Included in the book are pictures and information on some of the other exhibits visible to tourists in the Armory, where photography is not permitted. A definite must-have for fans of the Faberge eggs and of Imperial Russian history, as the Faberge eggs are one of the better-known entries into that particular area of study.… (mehr)
