Amorette is running a speed dating event at her family's bakery. She hopes Rowan shows up because she's attracted to him. When Rowan shows, he is accompanied by his five brothers. He also comes when a cop who's been harassing Amorette shows up and tries to flex his muscles. The six men provide protection for Amorette against him. Amorette gives serious thought to their proposition to date all six of them. Will she do it? Will the men keep the cop off her back?

I liked this story. I liked Amorette and the six brothers. I loved that Amorette does not conform to her family's expectations. She loves roller derby and is looking forward to her first match. She also is looking forward to being with Rowan and his brothers. They feel the same about her. I was glad they found each other. And that the "cop" got his!

Ended up just skimming this one becuase I had to just skip over too many awkward scenes. Could have been a fun exhibitionist meets two hot daddies …. And it was that…. But then there were so many awkward encounters with her ex, her dad, bad parenting, virgin wanting to automatically get pregnant…. The list goes on.

There was a lot of cringe. And for a 100 page novella, the cringe to spice ratio was WAY too high.

I did get to the end, ish, but I skipped so much I just don’t count this as a read book. Qualifies more in the DNF range.… (mehr)
