Western European centric view of plant life, as the subtitle - Western Civilization in Fifty Plants specifies, but does not, in my opinion, entirely exonerate it from, I found lots of interesting information about the historical and current value to and cost of these plants to us and our environment. The writing is easy to read and understand, the judgemental bits a bit dense but not overwhelming. For those not botanically inclined it is a good way to load up on information none of your friends will enjoy you repeating.… (mehr)
