This book presents itself much like The Little Engine that could. A perfect presentation of perseverence even for the youngest readers. Young children love the description of various planes and how all planes large or small can contribute to a rescue!

We had the opportunity to hear Brooke Hartman read this at a local bookstore event, and we were charmed! I love the repetitive/consistent rhyme that was able to engage my daughter, and the gorgeous illustrations that only enhance the story of the Alaskan animals riding the Alaska Train. I also love that there is information about the Alaska Train/Railroad at the very end. I'm so glad we were able to add this to our collection.

Klyde the Kraken, just wants a friend. After figuring out his boundaries, he becomes more successful, but it's also a testament that once you find your people, your life is complete.
