Charlotte is one of those characters that one finds that is hard to define. Does she become promiscuous because of boredom, feminism, wanting to challenge the expectations of men, wanting the freedom to control her own body and desires, or is she a lesbian? As one reads her story she swings from one of these to the other all of the time trying to protect your marriage and her child from finding out about her naughty episodes with other men and women. It becomes complicated when she finds out her husband has been having an affair with her best friend. Her daughter even begins to suspect something is going on and her twelve year old acceptance Charlotte maybe finds out what true love feels like. And that may be the one thing she is searching for, one can never tell. She also begins to realize that even though it feels good to her and she can "fix it tomorrow" that other peoples' feelings and lives are being affected by her promiscuity.

The book is well written and gives the reader a insight into Charlotte's thinking and justifications. It has very erotic scenes that are well done. It is a story of a women using her sexual desires to attract different lovers. Very good… (mehr)
