This board book coming from Happy Yak is all about who made it stink. Was it the gorillas’ teeth, the crocodile’s eggs, or the penguin’s fart? It’s up to the reader to solve the mystery. This board book is interactive with flaps and pull the tabs. The illustrations are fun and exciting, and this could be a habitual read from any child.

This was a super fun story. A bunch of vegetables are getting together to figure out who was the greatest vegetable of the year. Broccoli totally thinks it’s not going to be them. They’ve not done anything exciting but just the trip from home to the event is exciting on its own. And it’s definitely agreed upon when we meet the other vegetables. I think one of my favorite things is the Aubergine (eggplant) because I’ve never seen a kids book mention that vegetable. I loved it all! It’s great fun and would make a really fun puppet show.

I loved the large, clear illustrations in this book. They showed how much fun the friends were having using bright, vibrant colours that showed cute expressions. There was very little text in the story, but it was still a cute book. The discussions and vocabulary development that can occur while talking about the pictures will make this a winner for toddlers and young children. There is so much happening in the pictures. I'm not sure about using it to reinforce opposites though, I must have missed something. A good choice for a family library. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley.
