If you are new to organizing, have never seen the show, and don't know where to begin, this book is a great start. Fans of the show, however, will find little new information in this book. It provides tips ranging from the obvious (throw away duplicates and things you don't use) to the less obvious (keep bulky, little-used cookware somewhere other than the kitchen.) The examples of actual home makeovers are naturally much less dramatic in three small stills than they are on a half-hour TV show. And some of the solutions are somewhat above the beginning organizer's budget and ability. (You just can't screw hooks into my bathroom walls, even if you didn't care about the deposit. This building's apparently carved out of living rock or something.) Still, it's a valuable reference to have around during your own organization projects, and it may keep you focused instead of overwhelmed.… (mehr)
